INTERNSHIP
WHAT IS INTERNSHIP?
Summer Internship at Shiloh
The Shiloh Summer Internship is an 8-week program designed to give young adults a real look at how a youth camp operates. Starting the week before summer camp, interns stay through every week of camp, gaining hands-on experience in leadership, activities, music, sound and lighting, photography, outdoor skills, and more.
Founded over 10 years ago, the Summer Internship was created to help interns understand the skills, teamwork, and heart it takes to run a youth camp. Each day includes a meeting with the Camp Director for planning, prayer, and guidance, along with a daily Bible study to grow spiritually. Interns not only develop practical skills, they also grow together as a team while serving and leading throughout the summer.
Year-Long Internship at Shiloh
For those interested in a deeper experience, our Year-Long Internship offers a full overview of camp operations. Launched 6 years ago, this program covers everything from maintenance and guest services to marketing and kitchen operations. Over the course of a year, interns gain a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to operate a youth camp and prepare for a future in camping ministry.
INTERNSHIP IS ONE OF THE MOST EXHAUSTING AND REWARDING LIFE EXPERIENCES YOU WILL EVER HAVE. EACH DAY YOU GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEAD AND SERVE EACH CAMPER AND VOLUNTEER AT CAMP. YOU ARE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO PRACTICE YOUR PUBLIC SPEAKING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING. WHILE INTERNING IS NOT FOR THE LIGHT OF HEART WE THINK IT’S AN OPPORTUNITY THAT SHOULDN’T BE PASSED UP. HERE AT SHILOH, WE SEE THAT PEOPLE GROW IN THEIR WALK WITH CHRIST THROUGH LEARNING WHO THEY ARE AND SEEING HOW CHRIST WORKS IN THEIR OWN LIVES, AND THAT IS WHAT WE STRIVE FOR INTERNSHIP TO BE, A TIME OF GROWTH THROUGH SERVING OTHERS AND TAKING THE INITIATIVE TO SERVE CHRIST OUTSIDE OF THEIR COMFORT ZONE AT CAMP.
