INTERNSHIP

Summer Intern 2021

WHAT IS INTERNSHIP?

Being an Intern at Shiloh is a great opportunity to see how camp runs firsthand! The Summer Internship is 8 weeks long starting the week before our weekly summer camps and goes through every week of camp showing you how to lead games and activities, lead music when needed, operate a sound and light system for chapel and our music camps, how to set up lights and microphones for our music camps, how to be the camp photographer, basic knowledge in outdoor survival for our outdoor camps and so much more!

Shiloh’s Summer Internship was Started +10 years ago to give young adults a better understanding of what it takes to run a youth camp. Each day Interns have a meeting with the camp director to discuss and pray for the day along with a daily Bible study to further ground themselves in God’s word. Interns come and grow together becoming a team as they lead and serve through the summer together.

Shiloh’s Year-Long Internship started 6 years ago to offer more opportunities for someone who is interested in pursuing Camping Ministry. Over the course of a year, you get a crash course in all things camp! Everything from Camp Maintenance to Guest Services to Camp Marketing to all the work that goes into the Camp Kitchen!

INTERNSHIP IS ONE OF THE MOST EXHAUSTING AND REWARDING LIFE EXPERIENCES YOU WILL EVER HAVE. EACH DAY YOU GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEAD AND SERVE EACH CAMPER AND VOLUNTEER AT CAMP. YOU ARE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO PRACTICE YOUR PUBLIC SPEAKING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING. WHILE INTERNING IS NOT FOR THE LIGHT OF HEART WE THINK IT’S AN OPPORTUNITY THAT SHOULDN’T BE PASSED UP. HERE AT SHILOH, WE SEE THAT PEOPLE GROW IN THEIR WALK WITH CHRIST THROUGH LEARNING WHO THEY ARE AND SEEING HOW CHRIST WORKS IN THEIR OWN LIVES, AND THAT IS WHAT WE STRIVE FOR INTERNSHIP TO BE, A TIME OF GROWTH THROUGH SERVING OTHERS AND TAKING THE INITIATIVE TO SERVE CHRIST OUTSIDE OF THEIR COMFORT ZONE AT CAMP.
