About Shiloh

A PLACE WHERE CHRIST IS INTRODUCED WITHOUT SHAME OR APOLOGY

Everything we do at camp should be done in a manner that glorifies the name of Jesus. We need to plan our events, games, rules, and schedules all in such a way that each and every camper will have the opportunity to think and contemplate the messages they are hearing about Christ and salvation. We also need to ensure that the messages we present proclaim and teach Jesus as Christ.

A RETREAT AWAY FROM THE WORLD TO REFOCUS

Camp should be a place to get away from the distractions of the world. Camp should provide an environment that offers time for reflection on life and of God’s place in our life. Camp should offer an atmosphere of prayer and focus on a closeness with Jesus.

A PLACE THE BIBLE IS TAUGHT

Camp should be a place the campers learn the Bible. We should be sure the personnel at camp are grounded and taught to understand the Bible. We should be sure the speakers are gifted teachers as well as entertaining for the age they are ministering to.

A SUPPLEMENT TO THE LOCAL ASSEMBLY BOTH AS A RESOURCE AND A LOCATION

Camp should be a place the local church looks forward to its family attending. It should be a place that strengthens the camper. Camp should make the camper stronger when they return to the church.

A HAVEN FOR FAMILIES

Camp should be a place that offers families a chance to get away together and to serve together. In serving together in many capacities, the families will grow stronger and closer together. Even if they are serving at different times but at the same location, camp can still be used to bring families together.

CAMP SHOULD BE PLACE WHERE NEW AND LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCES ARE OFFERED

Camp should be a place that campers look back on and remember as a place they experienced life in a new and encouraging way; the first place they caught a fish, chopped wood, washed dishes, learned to pray, or much more.

Statement of Faith

This is Shiloh's Statement of Faith. If you have any questions about it please contact our Director, Junior Martin. He would love to help answer any questions you may have.

1.

There is one triune God- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 3:16-17

2.

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. He died in our place to pay the penalty for our sins. We believe He physically rose from the grave. And we believe that He will return to earth to reign in righteousness and glory as the perfect King.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 14:9, Revelation 20:4-6

3.

We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer and His work of conviction, regeneration, and sanctification. We believe He works in the lives of Christians to make them more like Jesus. This is a process not an instantaneous change.

John 15-17

4.

We believe that the Bible, as it was written, is without error and is the very Word of God. We believe that both the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God meaning that God instructed men what to write using various methods. We believe that because God is the ultimate Author, the Bible does not contradict itself and is written in such a manner as to be understood in the common language of the day.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

5.

We believe that man is by nature in rebellion (sin) against God and that he must be born again through faith in Christ Jesus alone.

John 3:3, Romans 3:23

Shiloh offers a Family Pass which starts the day you purchase it and lasts the duration of a year. If you purchase it on January 29, 2019 it will last until January 29, 2020. It covers the cost of all camps and retreats your family would like to participate in for that year!

Family Pass covers a family of Dad, Mom, 6 children under 25 years, and any additional children are $100 each (must live in the same residence).

It’s $850 for the entire year!

Let’s say you have a family of 5 people total, and your kids all want to go to Movie Makers and two of your kids want to go to Youth Summit. That’s only a total of $305 BUT your kids also want to do High School Camp, Jr High Camp and are thinking about Jr High Boys Outdoor Camp, Girls Venture AND your family would like to go to the Labor Day Retreat. That’s another $1,325.

So in the end, you end up paying $1,630 for camp that year. That’s not a bad price BUT you could purchase a Family Pass before camp starts and only pay $850 for the year. We want you to get the most out of camp each year, start considering a Family Pass!
